Matthias Sulzburger is an Italian award winning writer/director who has been based in London since 2015. With his films The Loop (2016), I am Mia (2018) and Thicker than Water (2020), Matthias’ work gained worldwide recognition having been nominated in over 25 festivals around the globe. Notably, I am Mia (2018), after premiering at NewFest 2018 (NYC)- presented by HBO- and receiving positive reviews from UK Film Reviews and other press bodies, was qualified for the Academy Awards 2020. At only age 26, Matthias earned the endorsements of Hollywood powers such as James Karen, ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’ (2006), Poltergeist (1982)-, Oscar Nominated Director Michael Toshiyouko Uno and Italian Producer Elisabetta Olmi. Matthias is currently developing his first feature film with Playhouse Pictures.
